Basque Country
Colegio P. Andrés de Urdaneta Ikastetxea (or Colegio Urdaneta) was founded in 1970. It belongs to the Augustinians catholic educators with rich heritage of traditions and experience.
It’s located in a small town called Loiu (Lujua in Spanish), close to Bilbao, the largest city in the Basque Country in northern Spain.
Around 10.000 students have studied in this school and at the moment there are around 1.800 students. They start when they are 3 years old and leave school when they are 18 years old.
Students can study in two ways: either half of the subjects in Basque and the other half in Spanish, or they choose to have all subjects in Spanish and the Basque language only as a subject.
Our school’s facilities are very complete. Mostly sport ones: a 200 meters athletics court, a soccer pitch, a swimming pool of 25 meters long, two hockey pitches, tennis courts, two paddles courts, and a squash court.

Qworzó is an elementary school in a small village called Merksplas which lays about 70 km north of Brussels.
We speak Dutch like they do in the Netherlands, since our school is located in Flanders.
Since there are a lot of people in Belgium who speak French we learn French in school also.
Our school teaches about 400 children aged 3,5 – 12 years.
This is the first year that we enter the competition and we are very enthusiastic about it!

Bulgaria
Our school, in Gorna Oryahovitsa is situated at the very top of the town and the view is quite picturesque. There are 815 students from 6 to 19 years old. There are about 40000 citizens and the town is only 5 km away from the so called City of the Bulgarian kings - Veliko Tarnovo. In 2009, Bulgaria's entry came 28th= in Schoolovision, so they are determined to improve in 2010. Our website

Our school is located in the heart of Cyprus, near the Troodos Mountains, in a village called Agros. It was built in 1930, but it was fully renovated in 1992 and now it is a modern building with a playing yard and a beautiful garden full of roses, as our village is famous for its roses. Our school has 53 students; all in primary age (6-11). We are looking forward to participating in the competition and listen to all European songs. Czech Republic
In 2009, ZS Husova school from Brno, in the centre of Southern Moravia Region became champions of the first Schoolovision contest, with their wonderful song, "Hejkal". Can they successfully defend their victory? The school was opened in 1883 and it is situated below famous Spilberk castle. In the school there are about 350 pupils from 6 to 15. They are divided into two parts (and also two buildings) - the primary level (6-11) and the lower-secondary level (11-15). Our website
Denmark
Stadil-Vedersø Skole is a public primary school. It is located near the North Sea, 120 km east of Århus and 15 km north of Ringkøbing. We have 80 children (age 6-12) in the school. In 2009, Stadil-Vedersø Skole sang a lovely song about Hvalborg the Whale, which was voted into 7th place overall.

Church Aston Infants School is situated in Church Aston, Newport, Shropshire. We are a very small infant school. Pupils are aged from 4 to 7 years.
We love to sing and are looking forward to composing and uploading our song once again. England will be hoping to improve on their placing of 28th= in 2009!

Estonia
Gustav Adolf Grammar School is located in Tallinn, in Estonia. It has about 1000 students aged 7-19. Our school is 379 years old. In 2009, Estonia's wonderful song, "Imelaps", proved popular with almost everyone, eventually finishing 2nd. Can they win in 2010?
Finland
In 2009, Kuvansin koulu represented Finland and their very catchy tune, "Tirlittiä" was very popular, finishing in 3rd place overall. In 2010, Finland will be represented by Enon koulu, from the eastern town of Eno, close to Joensuu.
The school was founded in 1881. There are 200 students (from pre school to 6th grade) in the school. This is the school where the ENO Programme was founded in 2000.

France
The "Ecole publique de Florentin" is located in the south west of France, around 75 kilometers north of Toulouse. There are around 90 children from 2to 12 years old in the school. CM1 and CM2 (4th and 5th year of primary school) are taking part in Schoolovision for the 2nd year running. In 2009, they came 6th overall.
Germany
Freie Schule Kassel is a small school founded by a parents' initiative some 20 years ago. Kassel is situated in the centre of Germany close to the former border. In 2009, the children from the school finished 8th overall, with their excellently produced song, "Es ist Sommer".

Greece
Representing Greece for the 2nd year running, the Primary School of Mistegna, is a public school situated in Mistegna, a small village in the east side of the island Lesvos, Greece.The village is 15 kilometres far from capital of Lesvos, Mytilene. Our school has 35 pupils and 6 teachers. The 5th-6th grade is going to represent Greece for the Schoolovision Contest 2010.We hope to improve on our 2009 placing of 9th!
Hungary
New entrants to Schoolovision for 2010, Hungary will this year be represented by Károly Kós Primary and Art School, Zsombo, which is a village in Csongrád County (Southern Great Plain Region) in Hungary near the City of Szeged (about 17 kms). The village has over 3,300 inhabitants.

Iceland
Iceland are represented once again by Flataskoli Gardabaer which is situated not far from the capital of the island, Reykjavík.
Flataskoli is a primary school with 320 students aged 6 to 12 years old. It was established in 1958. In 2009, Flataskoli's fantastic production of "Open your Heart" took them to 4th place overall, and they are sure to feature among the favourites again in 2010.

Réalt na Mara Sinsear is Irish and it means Star of the Sea and it is run by the Sisters of Mercy. We have 89 students in our school this year and we look forward to being the Irish entry once again for Schoolovision. We hope to improve on last year's place of 24th=.

Italy has a new representative for 2010, the Sicilian school from Baghera, 3° Circolo Luigi Pirandello. Last time, in 2009, Italy's song, "We are going to be friends" came 24th=, so we hope to improve on that in 2010!

Latvia
In 2009, the Latvian school, Jelgava Primary School, finished 12th in Schoolovision, with the lovely Russian song, "Barinya". It was a colourful video, with the children in national dress. The school has around 600 pupils aged from 5-16, and has 15 nationalities. With an excellent choir, and Russian spoken in school, it could be that Latvia will produce another Russian song in 2010!

Lithuania
Lithuania are represented in 2010 again by Juventos Basic School from Siauliai, which is a large school, with nearly 1000 pupils. It has a rich tradition of music and dance, and as such, can be expected to produce another very strong entry, as it did in 2009, with the song "Conductivity- Father Wheeled Hay", which finished in 11th place overall.

Malta
Dun Gorg Preca Primary School C, in Hamrun, is delighted to represent the island of Malta once again in Schoolovision 2010. The pupils themslves filmed their song last year, and finished in 23rd place overall.

This year's representatives from the Netherlands are De Opslach school, from the town of Franeker. In last year's Schoolovision, the Netherlands finished in 14th place overall.

Norway
Odda Primary School, located in Odda city is back for the 2nd year in Schoolovision 2010. The school has 440 pupils and 65 adults are working there. Odda local authority has about 7100 inhabitants. We are an industrial city with two big factories; Boliden, a zinc company established in 1924, and Tinfos owned by the Eramet Group. In 2009, the children from Odda composed their own song, and finished in 22nd place.
Poland
"Szkoła Podstawowa nr 1" is located in the south west of Poland,in the heart of Europe, 200 km west of Wrocław, 100 km north of Prague (CZ) and 200 km east of Berlin (D) . There are around 450 children, 6 - 12 years old. In 2009, the school held elimination rounds to see who would represent them, and their chosen song, "Moja fantazja" was a spectacular effort, which finished in 5th place.

A big, warm hug once again from Portugal!
EB 2,3/S Cunha Rivara is situated in Arraiolos, a small village famous for its tapestry: Arraiolos Rugs. Arraiolos is in Alentejo which is near Évora, the very beautiful World Heritage city.

New entrants to Schoolovision 2010, Rampo Levkata is a primary school in Prilep, Republic of Macedonia. It is one of the oldest schools in Prilep, built in 1963. Now it has about 700 pupils.
Romania
School "Vladimir Streinu" Teiu is situated in southern Romania at a distance of 30 miles of city Pitesti, tulips’city, in Teiu village. Includes primary school cycle and secondary education cycle with a total of 100 children. Teiu School has a long history and strong bearing the name of a great Romanian poet “Vladimir Streinu”. In 2009, the school children sang the song "It's a Wonderful World" which took them to 24th= in the contest.
Scotland
Yester Primary School, in the village of Gifford, represent Scotland in Schoolovision once again. Primary 4/5 will take part and we are still thinking about which song we will perform this year. As the class' teacher is the inventor and co-ordinator of Schoolovision, Yester Primary want to improve on the 13th position they attained in 2009. Look out Europe!

Slovakia
Slovakia are represented for the 2nd year running by Základná škola which is situated in Poprad, in the north of Slovakia in beautiful hilly surroundings. This school serves for students from very near area. The school specialises in sports and languages. We have very good facilities for practising athletics and football. In 2009, Slovakia finished in 21st position in Schoolovision.

Slovenia are represented in Schoolovision 2010 by OS Prebold, from the town of Prebold. Last year, the Slovenian entry finished in 18th position in the contest.

Spain
Our school is in a middle-sized town near Toledo. It's a small school with only 208 children. The class that will take part is 6th grade (11-12). There are 26 children and they are very interested on the project. Thanks a lot and best wishes to all countries taking part! Last year Spain's entry finished in 27th position.
Sweden
Grimsås school represents Sweden for the 2nd year running. It is a quite small school, with about 90 pupils in the ages from 6 - 13. It is a countryside school in the south part of Sweden, 120 km from Gothenburg.
In 2009, Sweden's song was a lovely melody, which finished in 19th= position.

Turkey
Turkey's representative again is Nazire Merzeci Ilkogretim Okulu, situated in İzmir which is the third biggest city of our country. It has a lot of tourist attractions and it is famous for its seaside. Our school was established 18 years ago. It is very large, it has about 1800 students aged 6-14. They are divided into two parts - the primary level (6-11) and the lower-secondary level (11-14). We love singing and look forward to trying to beat our position of 10th in 2009. Good luck everybody!

Llangewydd Junior School is a large Junior School (7 - 11 year olds), on the West side of Bridgend in South Wales, about half way between Swansea and Cardiff. We are really pleased to be part of Schoolovision again and we hope to represent our country well. We also hope to improve on our position of 16th in 2009! Canu'r dydd a canu'r nos!
